All instructors at THE
ACTORS NETWORK Television and Film Studio abide by the mandate
set out by the Toronto Association of Acting Studios. Their various
levels of experience (as instructors and also as performers) are utilized
in a combination of hands-on technique both in classroom theory and
in-studio "on-camera" applications.

As Founder
and Studio Director of all Canadian locations of THE ACTORS
NETWORK Television and Film Studio, Glenn Bang has consistently
coached on film and television productions, and has taught privately,
in-studio and classroom for over fifty hours weekly (on average
for forty-nine weeks per year) making him unquestionably the
busiest and most sought after instructor of the last two decades.
Having taught classes at ACT 2 Studios, Ryerson, Randolph
School of the Arts, MovieCorp., Innovision, CFC, Studio 52, L'Attitude
Cinematic, Center Space Workshops, Equity Showcase, and
First Take Film Dept., Glenn has also served on the
executive council of TAAS. As former Creative Director
of The Paraquet Theatre Company, Glenn has both written
and directed sold out runs of "The Last Date of the
20th Century" and "J.S.: Too Hot for Theatre",
as well as having directed the original Toronto run of "Duel
Practice." Currently, Glenn is the Executive Producer
of Yonge & Eligible Productions Inc.
As an actor himself, Glenn Bang has appeared
in lead, guest star, supporting and principal roles in over
forty film and television productions and over a hundred television
and radio commercials nationally and internationally.

patriciaREGO
| With
a background in theatre since 1989, Patricia Rego, having been
a certified instructor (Ontario College of Teachers: Drama
Program - 1995) turned her focus on the film and television
markets and has served as the Technical Camera Co-ordinator
at the Toronto location of THE ACTORS NETWORK Television
and Film Studio since 1997, and has also co-assisted in
the development of various “continuing on-camera”
courses.
As such, Patricia
has produced and directed OCT Productions of "The
Tempest" and "The Prince and the Pauper."
Stage credits include "The Sound of Music"
at Shaw and productions of "Sabrina Fair",
"The Star Spangled Girl", "Twelfth
Night", and "Sullivan and Gilbert"
at the Factory Theatre. More recently, film credits
include Apartment 6, Friends of Jim and a lead role
in On My Own. Patricia has also worked extensively
as a Stage Manager, Set Designer and Dialog Coach for numerous
young actors' productions.

janetLANE

Since
her first piano recital at the age of nine, Janet Lane has been
consistently living in the performer's spotlight. By the age
of sixteen Janet had compiled numerous solo awards and jazz
performances in Ottawa at The First Annual Philanthropist
Awards, the NAC Aids Benefit Concert and the Mayoral
Inauguration. Eventually, she would appear in stage performances
of "Done To Death", "Two Detectives",
"Romeo and Juliet", and "An Actor's
Nightmare" for which she received the Sears International
Drama Festival Award for Best Actress. By
1996, Janet had entered into the film and television industry
and co-assisted the development of “continuing on-camera”
courses for the eventual Montreal location of THE ACTORS
NETWORK Television and Film Studio. Since this time,
Janet has already amassed principal roles on MTV's Undressed,
Misguided Angels, All Souls, Xchange, Snake Eyes, and
George Clooney's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
Still the consummate artist, Janet has also written several
self-penned musical tracks, of which the title track by the same
name was featured in the film Expiration. |
nickISABELLA
| As Artistic
Director of the Musical Program at the Toronto location of THE
ACTORS NETWORK Television and Film Studio, Nick Isabella
has co-ordinated, designed, and taught privately and in classroom
musical classes in North America since 1995. Trained
at the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music under
the influences of Eraine Braun (voice), Linda Ippolito (piano),
William Beauvais (guitar), Paul Houle (percussion) and Larysa
Kuzmenko (keyboard harmony and theory), Nick has been showcased
at the Royans School for the Musical Performing Arts
(Toronto), Voice Mechanics Studio (Los Angeles) as well as
the previously mentioned Royal Conservatory. Along
with numerous private musical performances, Nick has also
been actively involved in producing and overseeing scheduled
workshops for young musicians.

tedPARIS
As current
Artistic Director of E-Space Productions (established in 1998),
Ted Paris has created high-end special effects for the Canadian
Filmmaking Industry. His breakthrough short film Fracture
(released 2001 - which used real actors interacting completely
with computer generated sets and props) won him the much coveted
position of Inferno Artist with Spin Productions Inc. Ted
has since created the Canadian Music Video Initiative,
in association with SPIN Productions. He has worked
with such artists as I Mother Earth, Treble Charger
and RUSH.
Ted has also designed and instructed related courses at the
Institute For Learning
and was an international award winning web designer for his
work with the Bank of Montreal. |
